Hiring a drone pilotThe Right Way!
Are you looking to hire a drone pilot? Do it right and LEGALLY!
As technology advances, drones are becoming easier to obtain and fly. However, as a result of this, the laws are getting tighter and tighter. If you require extensive aerial work to be completed the answer may be to hire somebody qualified to complete the task.
Anyone who intends to use a drone for reward or payment must have permission from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Most people mistake for this for a ‘drone licence’ which does not exist.
Permission from the CAA comes in the form of a PfCO (Permission for Commercial Operations) and each company will provide evidence of this prior to carrying out any commercial work. Hiring a pilot without the relevant permissions and valid insurance is illegal and can lead to a hefty fine
We at FMP hold this permission and our pilots are experienced with countless flying hours internationally and more local.
